All the floss that's fit to print...

After lots of hard work by our whole team – both on and offline, the buzz about our social media campaigns is starting to really heat up! Featuring on our brilliant Irena Vaksman DDS on TechCrunch is a great example.

Last week, after a visit to our office, Loic Le Meur, uber-blogger and entrepreneur, posted some interesting comments about our social strategy, to which we responded.

Now, TechCrunch has decided to take note, and included Irena Vaksman, DDS in today’s article entitled, “How Social Media Drives New Business: Six Case Studies“.

In our office, we love technology. Among other useful applications, technology helps us to educate our patients and keeps our office green-friendly (i.e., paperless office, digital x-rays and intra-oral cameras). Social media, on the other hand, allows us to communicate with our community, wherever they may be.  If you read through our response to Loic, you’ll see a comment from Ioannis in Greece who says that he would now consider checking out “that cool dentist that uses Social Media”.  Granted, he is in Greece and admits that it may be hard to visit a San Francisco dentist but, nonetheless, we are humbled just by his intentions!

Social media allows us to educate our patients and the public about new dental techniques, technologies or, every so often, special in-office promotions. More importantly, as we see it, social media provides multiple channels of communication for people to communicate with us. In fact, we have noticed that some people prefer to communicate in a public forum, rather than in private. We want to embrace open communication, and social media is just another way for us to continue the conversation!

Share your thoughts with us on social media – we’d love to hear them!
